ARCWELL

Specialist weapon

Helix Directorate

A tuning-fork emitter launches a short electrical arc into exposed machinery. The arc briefly disrupts one device; it does not chain through bodies or shut down an entire squad.

01

Operating principle

A tuning-fork emitter launches a short electrical arc into exposed machinery. The arc briefly disrupts one device; it does not chain through bodies or shut down an entire squad.

02

Modification choices

A field regulator improves effect consistency but adds preparation time. A reinforced housing tolerates rough movement at extra weight. Specialist payloads occupy scarce inventory space.

03

Engagement doctrine

Announce the effect before firing so allies can exploit the opening. Best in coordinated PvP and PvE teams; Solo operators must carry a conventional weapon for the follow-up. Never assume a disruption equals an elimination.

04

Strengths, limits & counters

Precise electronic disruption enables a push. Insulated cover blocks the arc and conventional firearms win a direct damage race.

05

Reading the specifications

Damage counts one payload’s direct impact against an unarmored target. Disruption, displacement and other utility effects are described separately and do not add hidden damage. Rate is nominal cycling speed; burst pauses, charging, cooling and reloads reduce sustained output. Capacity counts projectiles, shells or charges per load. Range describes the intended engagement distance. Recoil is a 0–100 control-demand index: lower is steadier, not weaker.

06

Operators & modes

Recommended operators: RELAY, CIPHER. The displayed range is 28 metres in this fictional design. Treat it as a planning guide: sightlines, armor and movement still decide the encounter.
