Two-seat maglev coupe
Helix DirectorateA sealed two-seat maglev coupe designed for the upper city’s maintenance lanes. Its low black canopy and recessed induction rails cut a clean line through the elevated grid. It reaches exceptional speed on powered routes but becomes an ordinary slow skid vehicle off the prepared surface.
Function & route
A sealed two-seat maglev coupe designed for the upper city’s maintenance lanes. Its low black canopy and recessed induction rails cut a clean line through the elevated grid. It reaches exceptional speed on powered routes but becomes an ordinary slow skid vehicle off the prepared surface.
Driving technique
Read the lane ahead before committing to the induction rail. High-speed steering follows the rail’s curve; emergency lateral movement is limited. Exiting onto an unpowered section demands early braking or the coupe will slide beyond the intended stop.
Vulnerabilities
The powered network dictates its best routes, making ambush points predictable. Damage to the induction skirt removes its speed advantage. Closed doors shelter occupants from light fire but cannot withstand concentrated attacks through the front canopy.
Extraction protocol
Use Slipstream for a planned Duo escape across the upper grid, with a second route identified in case power fails. In PvP, scout the off-ramp before accelerating. In PvE, avoid using it as stationary cover near machines that can disrupt the lane supply.
Reading the specifications
Armor and mobility are vehicle-only ratings from 0 to 100; higher means more protection or easier route handling. Armor is not hit points or a damage-reduction percentage. Mobility is separate from top speed: a fast vehicle can still turn poorly or depend on a prepared route.
Operators & modes
Recommended operators: VECTOR, PRISM. Capacity is 2 occupants, including the driver. The specifications describe 196 km/h maximum speed under favorable conditions; damage, terrain and cargo reduce practical performance. A vehicle has no ownership-based combat bonuses.
