Function & route
A six-seat shallow-draft skiff plated with salvaged floodgate steel. Tidebreaker moves a full squad plus mission passengers along the drowned service canals. Two open rear positions allow observation, while the enclosed bow shelters the driver from spray and fragments.
Driving technique
Cut thrust before a tight canal bend and let the hull settle. The stern slides outward under power, which can expose the rear seats to a bridge. Shallow draft clears submerged rails, but the skiff cannot cross dry streets or climb a lock gate.
Vulnerabilities
Canals offer few exits and bridges create obvious overhead ambushes. The rear propulsion grille is vulnerable, and water does not extinguish electrical disruption. A disabled skiff can strand passengers below street level with no climbable bank nearby.
Extraction protocol
In Squads, assign one observer to bridges and another to the stern. The two spare seats suit fictional PvE rescue objectives without changing the four-player squad size. Mark a ladder or ramp before every stop and never begin repairs beneath an uncleared bridge.
Reading the specifications
Armor and mobility are vehicle-only ratings from 0 to 100; higher means more protection or easier route handling. Armor is not hit points or a damage-reduction percentage. Mobility is separate from top speed: a fast vehicle can still turn poorly or depend on a prepared route.
Operators & modes
Recommended operators: BALLAST, RELAY. Capacity is 6 occupants, including the driver. The specifications describe 96 km/h maximum speed under favorable conditions; damage, terrain and cargo reduce practical performance. A vehicle has no ownership-based combat bonuses.
